Eco-Tourism

Ecotourism, or ecological tourism, in Kenya is much more than vacationing in unusual destinations.
On it’s most basic level, ecotourism is travel that leaves the smallest possible impact on the environment.

Now you can visit just about anywhere in Kenya and be an ecotourist, or at the very least, be environmentally responsible. Learn more at www.jambonairobi.com

If you have any photos, stories, tips, or recommendations for places to stay, please contact us. We would love to hear from you and share what you have learned and experienced during your ecotravels.

Singing at Barack Obama's inauguration was just the start of a rockin' ride for the Kenyan Boys Choir.
The ‘Spirit of Africa’, their debut album, features traditional and contemporary songs from around Africa including Homeless, Nkosi Sikelel'l Afrika, Jambo Bwana and is guaranteed to transport you to a land of epic sun drenched savannahs, vibrant colours, big smiles, warmth and hope.

Birding in Nairobi

http://www.jambonairobi.com/ is a starting place for birding information in Nairobi.

Visit Nairobi National Park. It has over 500 species of birds. You can view Yellow-billed Oxpeckers (Buphagus africanus) cling to giraffes’ necks and bodies like woodpeckers to tree trunks, feasting on their hosts’ parasites, ear wax, and — yes — blood.

In Nairobi you will find yourself filled with a yearning to linger here, where time stands still and beauty overwhelms.

Every Wednesday Morning, Nature Kenya - The East Africa Natural History Society organizes Nature Kenya Wednesday Morning Bird walk.
